B2B hero backgroundArray staged on the ground beside an open roof — the shot that sells the B2B page.
You do the roof. We handle the array and the liability.
Detach and reset subcontracting for Phoenix-area roofing companies. The array comes off before your crew starts and goes back on after they finish — permitted, reconnected and commissioned under our electrical licence, not yours.
The array is not a roofing scope, and you know it
Taking panels off is mechanical. Putting them back and re-energising a live, utility-interconnected DC system is electrical work — and it sits outside a roofing classification.
Which leaves three options on every re-roof with solar on it. Turn the job down. Do it anyway and hold the scope, the permit and whatever comes after. Or subcontract the array to someone licensed to touch it.
We are the third option, and it is the majority of what this company does. We are not a roofing company. We do not quote your customer for a roof. We have no interest in your job beyond the panels.
What a partner arrangement actually covers
We schedule around your crew
You give us your start date; we detach ahead of it. You give us your completion; we reset behind it. Your crew is not standing on a roof waiting for a solar company.
We pull the electrical permit
The PV disconnect and re-energisation permit goes under our licence, separately from your roofing permit. It is not another line on your paperwork.
Condition documented before we touch it
Panel count and condition photographed at removal. If something is already cracked or a connector is degraded, it is on record before your crew goes anywhere near the roof.
We carry the electrical liability
The reconnection, the commissioning and the utility-tied portion are ours. Insurance and licensing details available on request — ask and we will send them.
Trade pricing, not retail
Partner rates for companies sending us regular work, quoted per panel and per roof type so you can price a re-roof with solar on it without calling us first.
We do not compete with you
No roofing licence, no roofing crews, no interest in your customer’s roof. When a homeowner asks us who should do their roof, we send them back to you.
What one of our roofing partners said publicly
“Blackout Electric came out quickly and took care of my broken lights, plus added a dimmer. The install is super clean and looks really nice. They also detach and reset a lot of solar panels for my roofing company, and they are hands-down the best in the valley.”

Set up trade pricing
Tell us roughly how many re-roofs with solar you run in a year and we will put partner rates together. No obligation and no sales sequence — if it is not a fit, it is not a fit.
- Per-panel and per-roof-type rate card
- Scheduling commitments in writing
- Licence, bond and insurance documentation
- A direct number, not a call centre
This page is deliberately specific because roofing contractors judge it on specifics. Four numbers would make it considerably stronger and only Blackout can supply them:
- Total detach and reset jobs completed to date
- How many roofing companies currently send work
- Scheduling turnaround that can actually be committed to
- Insurance limits and whether a named partner will go on record
The nearest competitor publishes “7,500+ projects” and “50+ roofer partners.” A smaller honest number told well beats a vague claim — but a blank beats neither.
