What we collect through this website, why, and what we do not do with it.
Draft. Must be reviewed by counsel before launch. Note that the previous site had no privacy policy at all while running a lead form collecting name, email, phone and service interest — which, separately from any compliance question, blocks Google Ads and Meta lead campaigns outright.
What we collect
When you submit a form on this site we collect the name, phone number, email address, city and job details you provide. When you call us we keep a record of the enquiry. We use standard web analytics that records pages viewed and how you arrived, in aggregate.
Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry, to quote and schedule work, and to keep records of jobs we have carried out. That is the entirety of it.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your information
- We do not share it with lead brokers or other contractors
- We do not add you to a marketing list because you asked for a quote
Who we share it with
Only the service providers needed to run the business — our email provider, our scheduling system, and where you choose to apply, the finance company you apply to. If a job requires a subcontractor or a manufacturer warranty claim, we share only what that work requires.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept for a limited period and then deleted. Records of completed work are kept as long as required for warranty, licensing and tax purposes.
Your choices
Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at info@blackoutelectric.net. If you no longer want to hear from us, say so once and that is the end of it.
