HVAC Services

Installation, repairs, replacements and upgrades — for the system that decides whether a Phoenix summer is survivable.

The short answer

Cooling is the largest electrical load in an Arizona home, which is why we treat HVAC as an electrical question as much as a mechanical one. Before a system is specified we look at what the service can actually carry, what the existing circuit and disconnect look like, and — if there is solar on the roof — how the new load lands against what the array produces during the hours you need it most.

Licensed through our qualifying party for this trade. Licence number and holder are published here on this page — pending from the owner for this preview build. Our electrical and construction licences are listed on the licence page.

The electrical half of an HVAC job

A new condenser is a new load on a panel that may already be at its limit, on a circuit that may have been sized for a smaller unit two decades ago.

That part gets skipped routinely, and it shows up as a breaker that nuisance-trips in July. We are looking at the panel, the conductor and the disconnect as part of the job rather than as somebody else’s problem.

Sizing, honestly

An oversized system short-cycles, dehumidifies poorly and wears out early. An undersized one never catches up on a 115-degree afternoon. The answer comes from a load calculation on your actual house — square footage, insulation, glazing, orientation and duct condition — not from a rule of thumb about tons per square foot.

Questions

Frequently asked

How long does a Phoenix air conditioner last?

Less than the same unit would elsewhere. Run hours here are brutal, and a system that would see fifteen to twenty years in a milder climate frequently sees ten to fifteen. Maintenance moves that number more than brand does.

Do I need a panel upgrade for a new system?

Sometimes, particularly on an older 100 amp service or where a heat pump is replacing gas heat. We assess it as part of the quote rather than discovering it on install day.

Can you service the system as well as install it?

Yes — installation, repair, replacement and upgrades.
